Based on the semantic difference between the compound form in French (j'ai parlé) and in Portuguese (tenho falado), the research seeks to delimit contextual criteria for the use of the compound preterite perfect (PPC) in contemporary Portuguese. Since the PPC conveys two distinct values (iterativity and duration), we examined other linguistic means capable of indicating the concrete value that the PPC can have in a given context. The Italian linguistic repertoire becomes more and more articulate and confirms that it is evolving not towards the substitution of the standard for dialects, but by adding Italian to the pre-existing possibilities dialectal expressive possibilities, with the result of an enrichment of the multilingual reality.

The article identifies some possible scriptural sources in Canto XI of Dante Alighieri's Paradiso, particularly vv. 58-62. In the light of these references (especially the tenth chapter of Matthew's Gospel, which contains the praeceptum prohibitivum in vv. 9-10), the expression coram patre in v. 62 could mean ‘before God the Father’, alluding to Francis' divine adoption and his progressive assimilation to Christ as the new master (v. 85). This article, which is devoted to Dacia Maraini's novel Voci, analyses the sound and auditory aspect of a literary text. A special advantage and meaning of the experiences of the sense of hearing manifests itself in the main character's unique experience of reality by means of the audible : voices, noises and sounds. Presence or absence of the voice and of the body which produces them in time and space, build a metaphorical structure that stretches between life and death in the novel.
