In this paper we present the results of the "Onto-terminology of mediation" research project. The project aims at introducing a methodology, a system and, above all, a particular cooperative mode in coping with some terminological issues, in particular, the comparative exploration of the sense of a term in various domains. The use-case concerns the term "mediation". We have chosen 7 terms addressed by mediation, occurring in five different domains: law, education, communication, language and culture. The suggested approach finds roots in a corpus-based linguistic paradigm. It intends to build up a cooperative platform offering assistance to users preoccupied...

Écho des études romanes 2020, 16(1):39-54 | DOI: 10.32725/eer.2020.002
The present paper deals with pluriverbal constructions containing the element of red colour in Spanish language (rojo). The red colour is after the black and the white, together with the green, one of the most productive colours able to form lexicalized constructions. This kind of expressions can belong to everyday language, to specific scientific areas, or to the idiomatic field of language. This article focuses on the types and number of these expressions through the analysis of two main sources: the traditional academic dictionaries and the electronic web corpus Araneum.

The Spanish braggart soldiers of the first half of the 16th century seemingly represent very varied group. We intend to show that basically two variants of the braggart archetype can be distinguished in Spanish dramatic literature in this period. On the one hand, the nameless soldier, who is often referred to simply as «soldier» whose bragging characteristics are hardly distinguished from other characters. And on the other, the great gallery of cunning rogues and ruffians who distance themselves deeply from the aforementioned soldier as well as from the original Greco-Roman archetype. In addition, we would like to trace the possible connection...

Écho des études romanes 2020, 16(1):73-84 | DOI: 10.32725/eer.2020.004
The aim of this essay is to highlight some moments of Leopardi's reception in the Italian magazines of the period between the two World Wars, the starting point for the reception of the poet during the twentieth century. Starting from the central role played by the magazine «La Ronda», the essay will move on through the analysis of Leopardian reception in magazines whose contribution has been less studied, such as «La Fiera Letteraria», «Il Selvaggio» e «Il Frontespizio». Each magazine tried to link Leopardian poetic to his own artistic and political ideal. Beyond ideological intentions, Leopardi's reception...

Écho des études romanes 2020, 16(1):85-96 | DOI: 10.32725/eer.2020.005
This article aims to present and compare three adaptations of Little Red Riding Hood published in Latin America around the end of the 20th century: Caperucita en Manhattan (1990) by Carmen Martín Gaite, Caperucita Roja tal y como se la contaron a Jorge (1996) [Little Red Riding Hood (as told to George)] by Luis Pescetti, and Caperucita Roja y otras historias perversas (2003) [Little Red Riding Hood and other wicked stories] by Triunfo Arciniegas. The article addresses the main structure of these fairy tales, in comparison with the versions of Perrault and Brothers Grimm and how the retelling adds elements that bring new meanings to the text.

Translated texts and parallel corpus offer a source of relevant data and have their place already established in Contrastive Linguistics and in Translation. However, it is legitimate to postulate questions about the limits of the research based on the parallel corpus and on the possible factors that could influence when drawing conclusions about the linguistic system based on the data obtained from such corpus. The objective of this article is, therefore, to reflect on these aspects through a study of particles, specifically of the focus adverbs (rhematizers). These are observed in translated texts from Czech to Spanish (and vice versa) and analyses...
Antologías de textos traductológicos: vías de recepción mutua de temas en el ámbito checo - hispánicoSpanish

Écho des études romanes 2020, 16(1):115-123 | DOI: 10.32725/eer.2020.007
In recent decades, anthologies have become somewhat of a popular genre within the field of translation studies, but the majority of research has focused on collections of literary translations; analysis devoted to anthologies of theoretical work remains rare. Czech and Spanish research, however, proves to be an exception to this rule. This text examines the general characteristics of critical anthologies as a specific genre resulting from an author or editor's evaluation, selection, and (re)arrangement of appropriate studies. It also outlines the role anthologies have played in the mutual reception of theoretical texts that have led to translation...
